Joining is as easy as …

1. Contact Cubmaster about visiting a Pack meeting. Packs meeting are usually held on the 3rd Monday of the month at Hollymead Elementary. However, we are an adventurous lot so please confirm with the calendar before you come out for a visit. We are back in person for all events, but will follow Albemarle County Public Schools if there are any shut downs related to COVID. 

2. Complete the Cub Scout Registration after your Pack/Den visit. Turn in the registration $185 plus $25 new membership fee (National org fee) during a meeting. The joining fee helps offset the cost of Pack t-shirt, Scout Handbooks, Neckerchief, Registration, Insurance, and Boy’s Life fees. 

3. After assigned a Den simply start attending Den meetings. Be sure to bring your Scout handbook and wear your uniform. 

That’s it. Now enjoy, get involved and make new friends!

Adult Involvement

Adults are encouraged to help out as Den Leaders, Committee members, and various coordinator positions...there are actually unlimited ways to volunteer. To volunteer, see any adult at the Pack meetings or contact the Cubmaster/Committee Chair. You can find out more what the Adults do on the Adults Page.

What is Cub Scouting

Cub Scouting is fun! No matter what grade you are in, K through fifth, it can be a blast. Do you like to learn by doing? This is just the place. You can learn to tie knots, set up a tent, or shoot a bow and arrow (archery). Have you ever cooked a meal on a campfire? Sent a secret code to a buddy? Built a birdhouse? Hiked? Earn rewards for doing these things in Cub Scouts.

APPLICATIONS

Youth applications are required for all participants new to Pack 206.
Adult applications are required for any adult wishing to serve as a volunteer leader.
